I can't believe July is here already.. how can that be possible? It seems like Christmas was just a month or two ago at most! It is crazy, and kind of scary, how time flies with a little one. We are keeping busy with projects around the house. Changing up a couple of rooms, painting, trying to get more organized and de-cluttered. It is a constant process I think. Sometimes I think of that day in the future when it will all be "done" - - a place for everything and everything in its place. But then I realize that's probably just wishful thinking because I am not sure I know anyone who has made it to that place.
Little Miss C is doing so well.. She is hard to keep up with sometimes. Her imagination seems so busy! She is enjoying summer I think, although she keeps asking about Christmas and snow. Trying to explain seasons to a three-year-old... well, I'm doing the best I can. I think she will enjoy seeing the fireworks this weekend, if she can get past the loud noise of them. If there is one thing that scares my little girl it is loud noises. Although it's usually loud "mechanical" type noises that bother her, so hopefully the popping and booming of the fireworks won't be too bad.
Here are a few recent favorite pics..

I've gotta say, this bug shot below might be one for my "favorites" folder. I had thought it was a katydid because it seemed like I remembered learning about them as a kid and how they were bright green and slightly longer than a praying mantis. The praying mantises I'm used to seeing are brownish. But I found out tonight that this is not a katydid... so I'm guessing it is a praying mantis or at least in that family. It just looked so different to me. We've been seeing a lot of them and they are a good 4 inches in length I'd say!
