Birthday Party!

Today was Caroline's birthday party for her 4th birthday. She was so excited to have a Hello Kitty birthday theme. She went to bed last night so excited about the day to come and then woke up this morning at 6:45 saying, "Mommy, is it my birthday? Come on, come on, we have to decorate! Get up Mommy!" Getting from 6:45 a.m. till party time at 2:00 p.m. involved practicing a lot of patience on our parts, to say the least! But to see the joy in her eyes and in her smile as she waited in excitement is really a wonderful part of parenting too.

Her party ended a little earlier than usual as an ice and snow mix started falling. She's only ever had warm and spring-like parties so it was kind of odd! But she was having so much fun with all her new stuff that she was okay with saying goodbye to everyone. It's nearly 8:00 p.m. and she is having a blast.
